Description.

Analysis:
1. This
sentence uses Borrowing Translation Technique according to ‘metamorphosis’ as a SL
to ‘metamorfosis’
as a TL. Also uses Substitution Translatuon Technique according to ‘takes
place’ as a SL to ‘terjadi’ as a TL in order to make
sentence to be easy to understand.
2. This
sentence uses Established Equivalent Translation Technique according to
‘eventually’ is not translated as ‘akhirnya’
because it doesn’t sound fit to TL, so it must be ‘pada tahap akhir’
because the context tells about a process of something.
3. This
sentence uses Adaptation Translation Technique because according to ‘early
people’ as a SL is not translated as ‘orang-orang awal’ it
will sound wrong and too literal. It should be ‘orang zaman dahulu’ so
that it will sound accurate to TL uses cultural meaning (Bahasa Indonesia)
4. This
sentence uses Amplification Translation Technique because according to ‘like’
word from SL is not translated as ‘seperti’ because it will sound
common, to make it sounds fit it should be ‘layaknya’.
5. This
sentence uses Amplification Technique, because it is paraphrased, so the
meaning is easily accepted in TL. A few words are added, so that the meaning
becomes clearer in TL. There is an addition of the word “yang”.
And also Established Equivalent Technique in word “lolos” which translated into “hilang”, it is more commonly used, so
that the translation is more acceptable.
6. There
is a meaning that must be clarified, so that this sentence uses Amplification
Technique, by adding an explanation in
parentheses “(berfotosintesis)”.
7. This
sentence uses Generalization Technique. This translation uses a general word.
And
Amplification Technique by adding the word “mengalami” and “bentuk”, so that it is clearer.
8. Reduction
is a technique that reduces certain elements of the SL. From SL there are ‘of‘ to discribe “the early stages of the grasshopper“ and “the later stages of the grasshopper”, but for the TL the words
‘of‘ is unnecessarly.
9. Borrowing
is a technique that takes a word or expression straight from another language.
The word ‘metamorphosis’
takes from another language which is about a biological process by animal and
in TL metamorphosis also translated into metamorfosis
which is has same meaning.
10. Borrowing
is a technique that takes a word or expression straight from another language.
The word ‘polimorfisme’
and ‘invertebrates’ takes from
another language. In TL polymorphism and inverbrates also translated into polimorfisme and invertebrata which are have same meaning.
11. This
sentence uses Borrowing Technique because there’s a word without changing its
original name from SL to TL.
12. This
sentence uses Borrowing Technique because there’s a word without changing its
original name from SL to TL.
13. This
sentence uses Description Technique because when it transforms into a specific
Bahasa Indonesia, it adds up some words, so that the words will be stood up
completely and easy to understand.
